Around a week from November 25 to December 1, 2024 very changing in our Centre-Val de Loire region with a cooling potential expected between the end of November and the beginning of December…
Passage of a rainy cold front on Monday
During the night from Sunday to Monday, we will maintain a more or less cloudy sky over our central regions. A very moderate to sometimes strong southerly wind will still blow (gusts of 40 to 70 km/h most often, locally > 80 km/h on the South-West of Berry).
During Monday morning, a rainy cold front will quickly sink into the West of Center-Val de Loire. It will give moderate to temporarily sustained rains from Touraine/the West of Berry au Why/to the Beauce/l’Orleans. At the front, towards the East of the Center, from the East of Berry to Gâtinaiswe will have a more or less dense cloud cover temporarily. The cloudiness will increase as the rain band approaches. At daybreak, it will be very mild! Temperatures will be between +11°C and +17°Cfrom North to South of the Center.
A sustained southerly wind will blow ahead of the front (gusts of 40 to 70 km/h, locally 80 km/h on part of Berry). Under the disturbance, it will still blow moderately from southwest then west sectors (gusts of 30 to 60 km/h, locally > 60 km/h).
Between midday and the afternoon, the rainy deterioration will gradually shift towards the east of the Center. It will still give rain, sometimes temporarily active. They will be accompanied by a very moderate wind from southwest to west/northwest sectors (gusts of 30 to 60 km/h). Then, the front will evacuate from the East of the Center, between mid and late afternoon.
In an area west of the Center, variable/changing weather (clearings and clouds) will gradually set in. A southwest wind will blow (gusts of 10 to 40 km/h, locally 50 km/h in a downpour). A few localized showers will arrive from the West of the Center over the hours. By mid-afternoon, temperatures will range from +10°C to +16°C, from West to East. It will be cooler after the disturbance passes. In the evening, under a southwesterly flow (gusts of 10 to 40 km/h, locally > 40/50 km/h under a downpour), we will observe a changing sky (nocturnal clearings and clouds). Some very localized showers may occur in places. During the day, we will expect rainfall accumulations of around 1 to 10 mm. (locally > 10 mm).
Changing and isolated showers Tuesday
After some possible gray mornings, we will have variable skies (clearings and cloudy periods). Randomly, a few small localized waves will circulate.
A weak to moderate southwesterly wind will blow (gusts of 15 to 40 km/h). Minimum temperatures will oscillate between +5°C and +9°C, from North to South of the Center. The maximum values will be between +10°C and +13°C, from North to South of the Center.
New disturbance and sustained winds Wednesday
A new disturbance will sweep through our central regions. It will bring numerous clouds carrying intermittent/scattered rain. A very strong south then southwest wind will blow! The modalities will remain to be refined in the coming days.
Minimum temperatures will oscillate between +6°C and +10°C, from East to West of the Center. The maximum values will be between +11°C and +15°Cfrom East to West of the Center.
Mixed in the South-West, more variable/bright in the North-East this Thursday?
The remains of a front would circulate in a South/South-West area of Center-Val de Loire. We would expect many clouds sometimes bringing rain. Going back towards the North/North-East, a variable sky (more or less beautiful clearings) would dominate the debates. The terms will remain to be clarified in the coming days.
Minimum temperatures would oscillate between +6°C and +10°C, from East to West of the Center. The maximum values would be between +6°C and +10°C, from North to South of the Center.
Brighter and colder Friday…
Drier and brighter weather would set in under a continental flow. A few morning frosts could make their return (especially to the North-East of the Center). In this flow from North-East to East, we will possibly monitor the supply of humidity which could give rise to gray/low clouds. To be confirmed…
Minimum temperatures would oscillate between -1°C and +3°Cfrom the North-East to the South-West of the Center. The maximum values would be between +5°C and +8°C, from North to South of the Center.
Bright and cold for the weekend?
The latest trends would envisage a bright, dry and cold weekend. THE morning frosts would be very numerous and temperatures cold daytime (+5°C to +8°C). A nice continental flow would be required.
