Politicians are the only ones who did not understand his victory in the first round of the presidential elections, Călin Georgescu said in a message on Facebook and YouTube addressed to those who supported him on Monday evening.
“Politicians are the only ones who did not understand what happened. You looked at statistics, countless polls, made defamatory statements, offended each other, but the worst is that you offended the Romanian people for 35 years and continue to offend them even today when you say you don’t understand what happened”, said the independent candidate.
He emphasized that he also has a message for Elena Lasconi, the USR candidate he will face in the second round scheduled for December 8.
“You have nothing to be happy about, the people are not happy about what the politicians have done in these years. Even you are part of this political project that brought us this disastrous state”, declared Georgescu. “Why are you glad you got into round 2? You should run for this people, not for the party electorate and not against me, Călin Georgescu”, he concluded.
The counting of the results of the first round of the presidential elections has ended in all sections, the percentage of centralized minutes being 100%. In first place is Călin Georgescu – 22.94% who obtained 2,120,404 votes, with 347,901 more than Elena Lasconi – 19.18%. The number of votes obtained by the USR candidate is 1,772,503, with only 2,742 votes over Marcel Ciolacu (PSD) who, with 1,769,761 votes, obtained only 19.15%.
