Bus accident on the A6: an off-duty police officer died, the investigation reclassified for homicide and involuntary injuries

Thursday, November 21, on roads made very delicate in a large northern half of the country due to snow and ice, an accident took place on the A6 motorway, near Chevilly-Larue (Val-de-) . A blablacar company bus – which was carrying 37 passengers – collided with four cars and a motorcycle. Reclassified investigation

Monday, November 25, Le Parisien reveals that one of the people who was in absolute emergency has died, confirming an announcement from the Alliance union, posted a day earlier on Facebook. Information which was announced by the police union because the victim is called David H. and was a Paris police officer. His colleagues paid tribute to the memory of a “seasoned police officer”, “who worked for many years in the Paris regional office” and who was “a practitioner and enthusiast of combat sports”.

He was driving his personal car and was not on duty at the time of the accident, Actu17 assures. The Créteil public prosecutor's office, cited by Le Parisien, added that the investigation – which had initially been opened for involuntary injuries – “was reclassified as an investigation for homicide and involuntary injuries”. The CRS motorway is responsible for determining the circumstances of the tragedy. A fundraiser was launched by the victim's relatives.
