The entrepreneur Ștefan Mandachi, known on the Internet for the #șîeu manifesto, following which the businessman built the first meter of highway in Moldova, is one of the promoters of the independent presidential candidate, Călin Georgescu.
A businessman from Suceava with major public involvement in recent years, Ștefan Mandachi made podcasts with Mircea Geoană, George Simion, Ana Birchall, Cristian Terheș and Călin Georgescu in the last five days.
The one with Călin Georgescu was friendly. “I heard you with the famous one-meter highway project. The theme was sensational, because it was a lesson for those back then, the same as today, that it is possible, if you want (…) The big change must be a deep change and we are talking about a system change, otherwise it is impossible” , said Georgescu on Mandachi's podcast.
Mandachi announced to his supporters that he sympathized with Georgescu
On Saturday evening, before the voting day, a few hours after the publication of the podcast, Ștefan Mandachi posted on his Facebook page a survey about the elections, carried out on his YouTube channel, to which 4,300 people responded.
The Sucevean asked his followers who they prefer in the first round of the presidential elections, the options being Călin Georgescu, Nicolae Ciucă, Elena Lasconi and George Simion. The poll shows Georgescu as the winner, with a percentage of 62%, followed by Simion with 19%.
“A classic survey has 1,000-2,000 people. My poll has 4,300. It's just a social reality and I'm not going to promote any candidate, but I'm not going to hide from reality either,” the businessman wrote on Facebook.
Ștefan Mandachi is a Romanian lawyer and businessman. He owns a hotel in Suceava, where, in 2020, medical personnel suspected of having the coronavirus from the entire county stayed.
In Suceava county, Georgescu won the elections.
