The three content creators will recreate the famous “Squid Game” event on the Champs-Élysées this December 1. They are recruiting 456 players to participate in the event.
“Players prepare yourselves.” YouTubers Inoxtag, Maghla and Just Riadh will organize, this Sunday, December 1, a giant “1,2,3 sun” inspired by Squid Gamethe hit Korean series from Netflix.
The announcement was made by Netflix in a publication shared on November 25 on X, formerly Twitter. “How do we rent the Champs-Élysées for a giant '1,2,3 sun' on December 1st please? It's for a friend”, launches the streaming site.
456 players expected
In the video, we can see the three videographers dressed in green tracksuits, straight from Squid Game. They seem to be in a setting very similar to the first event of the Korean event series from Netflix. Except this time, the murderous doll has been replaced by a tree.
Concretely, the game should take place this Sunday, December 1 on the Champs Élysées. Three teams, led by content creators Maghla, Just Riadh and Inoxtag will compete.
And like in the series, they are looking for 456 players to complete their teams. To try to participate in the game, it is possible to register on the site 123soleil-sur-les-champs.fr. And, for those who are not selected, it is possible to follow the progress of the game live on the Inoxtag channel this Sunday, December 1 at 1:15 p.m.
Many adaptations
A timely event. Indeed, Netflix announced last August that the second season of Squid Game will be broadcast on the streaming platform on Thursday December 26, 2024. A third and final season will be released a few months later, in the year 2025.
As a reminder, the series Squid Gamereleased in September 2021, tells the story of how hundreds of players agree to compete in deadly games to win tens of billions of won. The series, which has become a worldwide success, holds the record for the best start in Netflix history, with 571.76 million hours viewed around the globe from the first week of operation.
She has since inspired a reality show on Netflixand will be adapted to a video gameo. This is not the first time that a YouTuber has been inspired by the successful Netflix series. In November 2021, American videographer MrBeast also reproduced the game in real life. His video, “$456,000 Squid Game In Real Life!” has more than 671 million views.
