The Authority expected, in a statement on its official Facebook account, that the weather would be cold during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts, moderate in temperature in South Sinai, and cold in the south of the country at night and in the early morning.
She indicated that Monday, November 25, 2024, will witness a continued drop in temperatures in most parts.
While wind activity prevails in most areas, which increases the feeling of cold weather, indicating disturbances in maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea, wind speeds of 70:50 kilometers per hour and high waves (5:3 metres).

The General Meteorological Authority statement reported that moderate rain fell on areas of the north-eastern coasts at intermittent intervals, pointing to light rains that may be moderate on areas of the north-western coasts and Lower Egypt. Central Sinai, the canal cities, and various areas of Greater Cairo extend slightly to areas of northern Upper Egypt at intermittent intervals.
The authority explained that Tuesday, November 26, 2024, will witness light rain that may be moderate On areas of the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt at intermittent intervals, While wind activity sometimes prevails on areas of the western coast and South Sinai at intermittent periods.
She stated that the weather of Wednesday, November 27, 2024, is witnessing light rain on areas of the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt at intermittent intervals, in addition to occasional wind activity in areas of South Sinai and North Upper Egypt at intermittent intervals.
She added that the weather from Thursday, November 28 to Saturday, November 30, 2024, witnesses occasional wind activity in areas of South Sinai and North Upper Egypt at intermittent intervals.

The General Authority of Meteorology organizes a training program for expatriates from various parts of African countries
The General Authority of Meteorology, affiliated with the Ministry of Civil Aviation, had organized a training program entitled “Climate Change and its Impact on Agricultural Productivity” for human cadres working in the field of meteorology from various African countries. The program includes 20 participants from different African countries.
This comes within the framework of the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s keenness to enhance joint and effective cooperation and permanent coordination with all sisterly African countries, especially in the field of training and developing the necessary qualification skills for workers in the field of meteorology.
The program sessions began at the headquarters of the Cairo Regional Training Center of the General Meteorological Authority, which is regionally accredited by the World Meteorological Organization, where the first sessions of the program began on November 17 and will continue for two weeks.
The training program is held within the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Civil Aviation, through the Regional Training Center of the General Meteorological Authority, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development.
The training program aims to qualify human cadres working in the field of agricultural meteorology, which contributes to raising the skills of the trainees and making them able to determine the effects of climate change in various fields of agriculture and its impact on agricultural productivity, which contributes to issuing recommendations to specialists to mitigate the negative effects, and supporting the ability to prepare A strategic plan to adapt to the elements of climate change in various agricultural fields, which improves the economies of countries.
