WITHOUT HIM. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS WAY TO END THE WEEKEND HERE IN SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA. AS WE HAVE THAT NICE SUNSET. AT LEAST WE JUST HAD THAT. AND NOW WE’RE JUST LOOKING AT SOME PARTLY CLOUDY WEATHER CONDITIONS. WHAT WE’LL CALL IT FOR THE MOST PART. TEMPERATURES ARE STILL PRETTY WARM. HERE’S WHY. IN THE BIGGER PICTURE, WE HAVE HIGH PRESSURE JUST OFF TO THE EAST OF US. SO WE’RE ON THE WESTERN SIDE OF THAT HIGH. SO THAT MEANS THAT WE’RE TAPPING INTO THE SOUTH WIND COMING UP FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO, WHICH IS THE REASON WHY OUR TEMPERATURES ARE INCREASING, BUT NOT FOR TOO MUCH LONGER, BECAUSE BACK TO THE WEST. SEE THIS FRONT HERE DEVELOPING THAT IS GOING TO BE MOVING INTO TUESDAY. AND THAT’S WHY OUR TEMPERATURES COOL DOWN. YET AGAIN AS OF RIGHT NOW. AGAIN, MOSTLY CLEAR WEATHER CONDITIONS ALL ACROSS SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA. WITH THAT SOUTHEASTERLY WIND COMING UP AROUND 5 TO 10 MILES AN HOUR. SO THAT’S WHY, AGAIN, WE’RE TAPPING INTO THAT WARM AIR MASS HERE AS WELL. FINAL NUMBERS TODAY FOR NEW ORLEANS, A HIGH OF 74 TODAY. THAT PUTS US WELL ABOVE THE AVERAGE HIGH OF 69 DEGREES FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. THE LOW THIS MORNING, 48 A FEW DEGREES BELOW THE AVERAGE OF 52 DEGREES TEMPERATURES RIGHT NOW, SITTING INTO THE 60S TO LOWER 70S. WE’RE JUST SHY OF 70 AT BELLE CHASSE, BUT RIGHT AT 70. CURRENTLY IN KENNER, 67 IN HAMMOND AND 68 IN SLIDELL FORECAST FOR THE REST OF TONIGHT, MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES, WARMER THOUGH, AND ALSO DRY. AND I SAY WARMER BECAUSE LOOK AT THE LOWS HERE AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW MORNING. ONLY INTO THE 50S HERE ON THE NORTH SHORE, UPPER 50S TO THE 60S ON THE SOUTH SHORE, 60S AND 70S CLOSER DOWN TOWARDS THE COAST AND THE FORECAST FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. TOMORROW WE’LL CALL IT A LITTLE BIT ON THE CLOUDIER SIDE, MUCH WARMER HERE TOO, AS OUR AFTERNOON HIGHS WILL JUMP UP INTO THE UPPER 70S AND PUSHING VERY CLOSE TO THOSE LOWER 80S DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. HERE TOO. AND WE’RE GOING TO GO DOWN FROM HERE AFTER MONDAY BECAUSE WE’RE GOING TO DROP OUR TEMPERATURES HERE A LITTLE BIT FURTHER INTO THE 70S. BEHIND THAT FRONT, ANOTHER MUCH STRONGER FRONT HERE ARRIVES BY THE END OF THE WEEK. AND THAT’S WHY HIGHS WILL GO DOWN INTO THE 60S. BY THAT POINT. NATIONAL DAY FORECAST FOR THANKSGIVING DAY. IF YOU’RE TRAVELING WEST, I THINK WE’RE GOING TO BE LOOKING OKAY. WE’RE LOOKING AT SOME CLEAR SKIES. BUT IF YOU’RE TRAVELING FURTHER EAST, WE’RE GOING TO BE LOOKING AT SOME RAIN SHOWERS HERE. TEMPERATURES 50S AND 60S, BUT A LITTLE BIT COOLER FURTHER NORTH. YOU GO. MEANWHILE, IF YOU’RE STAYING HERE LOCALLY FOR THANKSGIVING CLOUDY, WE’LL START OFF AT LEAST THAT WAY 71 DEGREES. AND THEN BY MIDDAY 74, A COUPLE OF SHOWERS AS YOU’RE GETTING READY TO SET THE DINNER TABLE. AND WHEN IT’S TIME TO EAT 67 DEGREES, SOME CLOUDY SKIES, MAYBE A STRAY SHOWER. STILL POSSIBLE? NO TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS. AND THAT’S EXACTLY THE WAY WE LIKE IT HERE. AS WE GET READY TO CLOSE OUT THE HURRICANE SEASON OFFICIALLY ENDING IN LESS THAN A WEEK FROM NOW, EVERYTHING IS QUIET HERE IN THE GULF OF MEXICO AS WELL. ALL RIGHT, YOUR WDSU FIRST WARNING, SEVEN DAY FORECAST SHOWING THAT WE ARE GOING TO BE LOOKING AT ONLY THOSE SLIM CHANCES OF RAIN LEADING UP TO WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, WATCHING FOR THOSE BETTER CHANCES OF RAIN SHOWERS, MAYBE A COUPLE OF STOR
