“One of the exit doors”: the RN pushes Emmanuel Macron to resign in the event of government censorship: News

Two deputies from the National Rally, Philippe Ballard and Sébastien Chenu, opened the door to a resignation of the head of state in the event of censorship against the government of Michel Barnier, reports HuffPost, Sunday November 24.

Emmanuel Macron under threat from the National Rally (RN)? As reported by HuffPostSunday November 24, two tenors of the party, deputies Sébastien Chenu and Philippe Ballard, believe that a resignation of the head of state could allow to emerge from the current political crisis, initiated by the dissolution of the Assembly national. This hypothesis is making headway at the RN as Michel Barnier receives Marine Le Pen in Matignon, Monday November 25, for the start of the Prime Minister's consultations with the heads of parliamentary groups to avoid the vote on a motion of censure by the oppositions.

We are completely responsible people, we know the consequences that censorship would have“, highlighted the vice-president of the party, Sébastien Chenu on LCI, pointing out the different “possibilities“which offer themselves to Emmanuel Macron to break the political deadlock:”rename the same Prime Minister, appoint a new Prime Minister, call a referendum, resign if there is no other solution“.

Emmanuel Macron “could take responsibility”

Same story with Philippe Ballard, who, Sunday November 24 on franceinfo, called Emmanuel Macron to “take responsibility“. “We don't have to call on him to resign. He could take responsibility. It could be one of the exit doors“, affirmed the RN deputy at the microphone of our colleagues.

These statements echo others from the opposition, notably from executives of La France insoumise (LFI) who are considering a resignation from Emmanuel Macron. “We have the duty to demand the dismissal” of the President of the Republic, the former presidential candidate, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, insisted in mid-November.
