Two defendants tried for a series of thefts from churches

A 43-year-old man is due to appear Monday, November 25, 2024 at Quimper court (Finistère) for a series of thefts of cultural and religious objects committed in churches in 2019. In Finistèrethe municipalities of Riec-sur-Bélon, Pont-Aven and Melgven are concerned. Many other municipalities and regions of are affected: Tops of France, Normandie

In this case, there is a second defendant: a 39-year-old woman. The latter is being prosecuted for receiving stolen goods. The trial is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

For the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, several meetings are scheduled in Quimper, Monday November 25.

  • Open days at the Information Center on Women's and Family Rights, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Public Services House (2 rue de l'Île de Man)
  • March against sexist and sexual violence at 6 p.m. starting from Place de la Résistance

A coffee with a police officer in Kermoysan

A coffee with a police officer. This is a first in Finistère. Tuesday, November 26, the police services invite local residents to come and meet the police at Kermoysan commercial center in Quimper. The meeting takes place from 9 a.m. at the 4 Vents shopping center.

In a press release, the police management explains that this meeting aims in particular to “strengthen trust between citizens and the police”, “improve communication” and “prevent delinquency”.
