I bought these fruits in the photo in Morocco. After calculation and conversion into CFA franc the amount amounted to 3,200 CFA francs rounded (1 dirham equals 62 CFA francs).
It’s crazy, it’s scandalous, it’s unspeakable, it’s nasty for the poor consumer. If some advance customs and transport this should not quadruple the cost of the products. The sales and distribution network for most fruits and vegetables is not regulated. Traders impose prices on bases that no one knows.
I give you certain prices of fruits, vegetables, and food items in CFA to let you realize how Senegalese is at the mercy of certain traders who shamelessly enrich themselves.

You realize that even products imported by Morocco and Senegal have notable price differences.
The purchasing power of the Senegalese has dropped drastically. Inflation is beyond measure. The government’s first task should be the regulation of market prices. It should not be left to the dictates of foreigners who act without respect for the rules because they are aware of letting go. The state will also have to review taxes on certain essential import products.
The goorgoor read is tired. Eating five fruits and vegetables is an important factor for good health, but at what cost?
