Christophe Gonzalez, RN candidate, came first in the second round of the municipal elections with 38.24% of the votes. Rognac becomes the only town hall labeled National Rally of Bouches-du-Rhône.
It was only a matter of time. Unsurprisingly, the National Rally candidate, Christophe Gonzalez, got the better of his three opponents. He received 38.24% of the votes cast. As in the first round, Willy Nicollet, various right-wing candidate, comes in second position. He has a total of 191 votes less than the winner, or 34.65%.
The outgoing mayor, Sylvie Miceli-Houdais, won 13.84% and the uninitiated Maël Vala-Viaux 13.09%.
The RN returns to a Bucco-Rhodan town hall
The town hall of Rognac becomes the only one in the department to be in the hands of the RN. “A first in 30 years,” insists the party boss in Bouches-du-Rhône, Franck Alisio.
In Marignane, the mayor, Eric Le Dissès, present this evening in Rognac, can also be linked to the extreme right, but he does not wear the RN label. With Christophe Gonzalez, the National Rally makes Rognac its figurehead for 2026.
More to come.
