Tatum, Harden and Zubac to have big nights – NBA Sunday tips Week 5
European NBA fans are in for a treat this week with the champions slated to play in the early window as the Boston Celtics welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves to the TD Garden.
Elsewhere, the Luka Doncic-less Dallas Mavericks will be looking for another win without their star, this time down in Miami. What can James Harden cook up against his old side? Let’s see what Peter Sharland is tipping.

Over total points, Jayson Tatum combined rebounds and assists over
The Celtics have had an interesting couple of weeks. They lost a thriller against the Hawks to kick it off before blowing out Brooklyn. Then, they endured a narrow win over the floundering Raptors but followed that up by ending the Cavaliers’ unbeaten record.
In all of those games, they hit tonight’s points over (albeit they would have missed against Washington in their last game), and we’re backing them to do the same against a Wolves outfit that is just all over the place right now.
Minnesota does possess the pieces to get into a scoring contest with anyone when they get hot, so this could be a big points night all round. Tatum’s points have been a little up and down recently, so instead, we’re backing him to hit over 14.5 combined rebounds and assists, something he’s done in each of his last four games.

PJ Washington over 15+ points
No, Luka, no problem. With the Slovenian superstar out with a wrist injury, the Mavs took out Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets on Friday in a classic.
Doncic will also miss this one, but after watching PJ Washington fly around for 22 points and 15 rebounds, Mavs fans will feel optimistic they can pick up another win without their talisman.
Washington notched over 20 points against both Denver and was in the win over OKC last week, so 15 seems eminently doable against a struggling Heat defense.
LA Clippers @ Philadelphia 76ers
NBA game at Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia
TV: NBA League Pass, 12:00 am
Ivica Zubac 11+ rebounds, James Harden 8+ assists
The 76ers finally won a game! But that still doesn’t change how we feel about them.
Yes, Jared McCain and Tyrese Maxey are an entertaining guard combination, but playing against the 6-10 Nets and the 10-7 Clippers (especially given the disparity in conference strength) is a different kettle of fish altogether.
LA should get the job done on the road here.
Harden had a weird week and hasn’t gotten over 25 points in his past four games.
He did, however, record 41 assists over that run, so we’re backing him to get to over eight in this one. Ivica Zubac remains one of the league’s best big men.
It is as simple as that; no caveats are needed. Here are his rebound numbers over the last four: 11, 17, 12, 15. Total this season? 12.5 per game. 11+ is an easy bet recommendation.
