After Chancellor Olaf Scholz achieved record ratings last week, “Caren Miosga” was again above normal seven days later. Although the reach fell by around one million, with an average of 3.65 million viewers, the talk with SPD leader Lars Klingbeil and CSU boss Markus Söder on Sunday from 9:45 p.m. on the first still recorded a very good market share of 16 .5 percent. Apart from the Scholz issue, this was the highest reach since the beginning of May.
And Miosga once again had a double-digit market share among the young audience: with 550,000 people between the ages of 14 and 49, the political talk achieved a convincing 11.5 percent – and thus even took fifth place in the daily ranking. Incidentally, the top position was shared by two other ARD programs: Both the “Tagesschau” and the “Tatort” each had 1.44 million viewers under 50, and the market shares were correspondingly high at 25.7 and 23.1 percent .
Overall, the “Tagesschau” reached 7.06 million people on the first channel alone, before the Stuttgart “Tatort” increased its reach to 9.32 million. This corresponded to an excellent market share of 32.7 percent and left the competition no chance. For comparison: “A Summer on the Côte d’Azur” was the closest competitor on ZDF, with 3.80 viewers. However, the most-watched ZDF program of the day was “heute-journal,” which subsequently increased by 4.05 million. The evening before, “What now, Mr. Habeck?” an average of 3.54 million people, and there were a few more for “heute”, “Berlin Direkt” and “Terra X Harald Lesch”.
Meanwhile, in prime time, ProSieben was the closest to keeping up with “Tatort” during prime time. Despite being repeated, the feature film “Avengers: Endgame” recorded a strong 14.4 percent market share with 710,000 young viewers, while a total of 1.39 million tuned in. Late at night, “The Return of the First Avenger” also scored 12.5 percent. Things also went well for the free TV premiere of “Wunderschön!” on Sat.1: The feature film achieved a market share of at least 8.8 percent, although a total of only 1.04 million people watched.
