While he was in full promotion of his new album, Eddy Mitchell was recently forced to postpone the release of his album by a few weeks for health reasons. Finally, it will be available from Friday November 29, 2024. Back on his feet, the singer was able to continue his media tour. (…) I had pneumonia“, first revealed Eddy Mitchell, before specifying that he had stopped smoking a month ago on the advice of his doctors. “They say you shouldn't smoke, you shouldn't drink, you shouldn't eat fatty foods. Finally, you shouldn't do anything…“, he also added.

Now aged 82, the musician has already begun to prepare for his death. In fact, Eddy Mitchell already knows where he wants to be buried. “You have reserved a vault at the Saint-Tropez cemeteryfacing the sea“, launched Audrey Crespo-Mara. “Yes, because it is a very pretty cemetery. I have quite a few friends buried there, so we could sit down and play cards“, the singer replied. “And have you thought about your epitaph?“, the journalist then replied. “Yes: 'Do not disturb'“, revealed the musician, which did not fail to surprise his interlocutor. “It's amazing“, she then blurted out, before Eddy Mitchell concluded this interview by declaring: “Yes. To have peace is good“.

Eddy Mitchell: when Johnny Hallyday “forgot that he was in chemo” alongside him on tour

During her interview with the singer, Audrey Crespo-Mara broadcast an old video in which we can see him appearing with his late friend Johnny Hallyday. A little clip that brought back memories for the musician. “It was during the Vieilles Canailles tour, it was in Clermont-Ferrand, he was in great shape. Besides, the doctors who were following him came to see me to thank me even though I had nothing to do with it . They told me: 'You gave him a wonderful time.' He forgot he was on chemo. It's true, it was a lovely evening.”explained Eddy Mitchell in particular.
