Positioned on the left of the attack, Kylian Mbappé took the opportunity to smile again, after an international break spent training away from the Blues. The Frenchman first thought he would score in the tenth minute, on a serve from Vinicius, but his goal was canceled for offside. He finally opened the scoring before half-time (43rd), taking another pass from Vinicius, who had benefited from high pressure from Eduardo Camavinga and a recovery from Jude Bellingham. His seventh goal in La Liga was not the most complicated but it felt good and allowed his team to return to the locker room more calmly, before continuing to dominate in the second half.
