The warm-up starts this week

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – It is a crisp and dry Autumn start to Sunday. But warm-up. Thanksgiving week we continue the warm up, back toward 80° by Thanks giving Day. A little more moisture returns as dew points climb back to the 50s. We’re tracking another cold front for Friday. There is very little moisture by the time the front drops south across the state. But another round of chilly air returns to start December.

Thanksgiving travel weather looks quiet for Florida and the Suncoast with no rain in sight, other than a brief and isolated shower Friday morning. For Wednesday and Thursday, some of the northern Gulf states will get some rain with a Thanksgiving cold front. The rain stays far north of us, around Atlanta and into the Carolinas. Holiday weather is quiet for driving around Florida.

Six days left in Hurricane Season and there are no disturbances being tracked for the next 7 days. Winds in the upper atmosphere are very strong even south over the Caribbean, so conditions are not good for tropical development. Something to be Thankful for!
