After the damage from storm Caetano in Clermont-Ferrand, storm Bert arrives in Puy-de-Dôme.
The department is placed by Météo France on orange alert for violent winds this Monday, November 25, until 4 p.m. in the afternoon.
The Rhône, Loire, Allier, Haute-Loire and Saône-et-Loire are also on orange alert.
90 km/h on Sunday
Initially, until Sunday afternoon, the gusts generally reach 80-90 km/h, hence the passage of most of the departments of the region (excluding Savoie and Haute-Savoie) into yellow wind alert for the day of Sunday.
According to Météo France, the south-southeast wind is strengthening significantly.
On the plains of northern Auvergne
Gusts exceed 100 km/h on the plains of northern Auvergne, the southern sectors of the Loire and Rhône departments and in particular Pilat, the Gier valley, the Givors sector and the valleys where gusts can reach 110 to 120 km/h.
The peak of activity is expected late night until midday Monday.
In the other departments of the region, the gusts will also be stronger than usual with values that can locally reach 90-100 km/h even in the plains.
