Gas or Hybrid? You win either way with the Honda CR-V

Can you rely on a crossover SUV to power all your adventures? You can if that vehicle is the all-new 2025 Honda CR-V!

Even better, you can choose how you fuel those adventures.

New on the lot at Chilliwack’s Murray Honda is the 2025 Honda CR-V, available in three gasoline-engine trims – all powered by an efficient 1.5-litre inline 4-cylinder with Turbocharger – and two hybrid options. Take any one for a test drive and you’ll soon discover why the CR-V has earned its reputation as one of Canada’s top-selling compact SUVs.

For those looking for an affordable, go-anywhere vehicle, the LX 2WD is a go-to choice. Step up to the AWD or CR-V Sport for added confidence when navigating our Fraser Valley roads. All come with three drive modes – ECON, Normal, Snow – and Continuously Variable Transmission, plus 190 horsepower with 179 lb-ft of torque, and idle-stop technology for added efficiency.

“Honda’s CR-V has been one of Canada’s top choices for a reliable, fun-to-drive SUV since it launched back in the ’90s,” notes Paul Tulloch, general manager of Murray Honda in Chilliwack. “Building on that legacy, the 2025 CR-Vs are designed for today’s drivers, with the efficiency, handling, space and features they want.”

While the gas and hybrid CR-Vs share many similarities, a main difference is in the efficiency afforded by dual-motor system. Expect 7.8 L/100km combined city and highway driving for the two-wheel drive LX, and 8.4L/100km for the all-wheel drive models, while the hybrids both offer 6.4 L/100km.

As Honda Canada explains, “gas and electricity work together to deliver a more fuel-efficient ride. While driving, the electric motor uses power from the battery to drive the wheels, which in turn reduces the internal combustion engine’s ‘workload.’ And the battery constantly recharges through energy created from braking, called ‘regenerative braking. Ultimately, this generates 27 to 35 per cent less greenhouse gas emission and can save you money at the pump.”

Tackle your travels with ease with programmable-height power tailgate, proximity key entry system with pushbutton start, parking sensors and remote engine starter, all standard across the trims, along with a 60/40 split rear seat for flexible cargo space.

Chilliwack’s winter weather is also no match for the CR-V, thanks to standard heated front seats, mirrors and front wiper de-icer, plus a cosy heated leather-wrapped steering wheel on the Sport and Hybrid models.

On the safety front, features including Honda Sensing including Blind Spot Information and Cross Traffic Monitor, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Road Departure Mitigation System and more.

Inside, stay comfortable on the longest roadtrip with six- or eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat and four-way adjustable passenger seat, dual-zone climate control, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, along with a playlist-ready sound system – between four and eight speakers, depending on the trim.
