“The shelter apartment financed by the intercommunity was occupied 210 days in 2023.” This strong figure communicated by Monique Gatier, assistant for social affairs, testifies to the need to raise awareness among the local population about violence . This is why the Autun network fighting against domestic violence (VIF) in the City of Autun has chosen to join the dedicated national prevention week from November 25.
2,500 bread bags on which “violence meters” will be printed and distributed by five Autun bakeries and a partner tea room. This is a self-assessment tool indicating what constitutes violence or not, in the form of a graduated rule colored from green to red. The bakery distribution circuit is not trivial: “The idea is to target all residents, whatever their social class and age, since we are talking here about violence that can occur throughout the family sphere , not only between spouses, such as parental or grandparent/child violence,” explains Annette Perrault, agent in the social cohesion department.
The different telephone numbers of the network and partners are also indicated to encourage victims to speak.
