the essential
Despite a failed second act, CO manager Jeremy Davidson was satisfied with the success of his team this Saturday against La Rochelle (28-24).
What feeling prevails after this end of the match where you scared yourself?
I'm very happy with the first half because we used the wind, we stayed at home and we scored when we needed to. On the other hand, in the second half, we were unable to put pressure on the opposing team, we made too many mistakes. I don't really understand the refereeing in scrums, at the end of the match. I thought we were pretty dominant.
How do you explain the two faces displayed by your team?
There was a strong wind, it was difficult to get out of our camp. Then, the penalties became balanced. At the break, there were 12 penalties against La Rochelle and 3 against us. Then it reversed in the second half, where we conceded 13 penalties and them 2. Despite this, we could still hope for an offensive bonus ten minutes from the end. It's a shame. After this match, we are frustrated and happy.
After the break there were several injuries and the team had to be reorganized. Did this disrupt the group?
Yes of course. There was some damage. Two third lines, Baptiste Cope and Baptiste Delaporte, and Louis Le Brun are out. Jack Goodhue had to go to 10 even though he never played there. Julien Dumora had farts in the first half…
Do you have any news of the injured?
Baptiste Delaporte has a hyperextended elbow, Baptiste Cope suffers from a dislocated shoulder. Concerning Julien Dumora, it was about shocks in the air. And for Louis Le Brun, it was a big shock following the high tackle.
