208 million euros at stake on Tuesday, discover the historic winning record

The sum of 189 million euros put into play by theEuroMillions was not won this Friday, November 22. In the absence of a big winner, the jackpot is put back into play. 208 million euros will now be awarded to luck on Tuesday, November 26. A considerable amount which is however not a record. In this regard, CNews recently compiled a Top 10 of the largest gains ever recorded.

EuroMillions has seen jackpots reach dizzying heights over the years. In the lead, an Austrian player won, on December 8, 2023, the astronomical sum of 240 million eurosthe biggest win in the history of the game. The winning numbers? 17, 30, 42, 48, 50 and stars 4 and 8. This record erases the previous ones, including that of 230 million euros won in the United Kingdom on July 19, 2022 by a lucky man who guessed 6, 23, 27, 40, 41 and stars 2 and 12.

Two French people in the Top 10

also occupies a place on the podium with a jackpot of 220 million euros won by a young woman from Tahiti on October 15, 2021. It was the first time she played and she thus became the biggest French winner of EuroMillions. Another Frenchman won 200 million euros in December 2020.

In 2024, a mysterious player, whose nationality has not been revealed, won 213 million euros. Other records include winning 215 million euros in the United Kingdom in May 2022 and 210 million euros pocketed in Switzerland in February 2021. Generally speaking, the United Kingdom has the most winners in the Top 10, with 193 million euros won in September 2022 and 190 million euros in 2019. Spain is added to the table with a jackpot of 190 million euros won in October 2017.
