Pierre Gasly, after his third place in qualifying for the Las Vegas GP this Saturday: “It’s incredible. We started the season in Bahrain in last place and then these last races changed everything. The team did a great job coming back. When we started qualifying, we didn't think we would finish in 3rd position but I managed the last set of tires well and it's a very nice surprise to see the result. It's very exciting to see Alpine in this position. We chose to take risks by limiting downforce to maximize the top speed on my car. It's tricky with the very low temperature making it difficult to heat the tires but I've had a good feeling since the start of the weekend behind the wheel.
