In 2017, Nathalie André, former director of the Star Academy, made some confidences at the microphone of radio Europe 1. She explained that the singer was going through real hell during the bonuses. “All the artists wanted to sing with him but no one knew what he was going through before entering the set. For her part, Karima Charni, former student of the 4th season, had made some confidences about her friend:

“We didn't feel it at all. He was singing, he was calm. He had to explain it to us at prime time when we were on the bus. He explained everything to us because we couldn't see nothing, we knew nothing, we understood nothing.
