avoid the road in the West, particularly in Orléans

The snow that fell in the West turned into ice. This morning, you should avoid taking your vehicle in the West, particularly in the Orléans area.

As feared by the authorities this Thursday, the snow that fell in the West turned into ice
this Friday morning, due to negative temperatures overnight.

Yesterday, the Minister of Ecological Transition, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, anticipated “traffic difficulties» on the main roads and called for the greatest caution.

This Friday morning, it is strongly recommended not to take the road in the West, particularly in the Orléans area and on the A10 motorway between Meung-sur- and Allainville.

Major bypass routes are in place:
● From to : follow the A11 towards , then the A28 towards Tours.
● From Tours to Paris: follow the A28 towards Le Mans, then the A11 towards Paris.
● From the A19 towards Tours: follow the A77, then take the A85 towards Tours.
● From the A71 towards Paris: follow the A85 towards Tours, then the A28 towards Le Mans, and finally
the A11 towards Paris.
● From the A71 towards the A19: follow the direction of the A77.

If you absolutely have to travel, find out on 107.7 before leaving home. Be careful and adapt your driving to the weather conditions.
