The Romanian group MP Industry, specialist in plastic components for the automotive industry, inaugurated, Friday, November 22, a first factory in Tangier Automotive City (TAC). The investment is worth more than 437 million dirhams and is expected to generate 150 direct jobs.
Built on an area of 35,000 m2, the unit, developed within the framework of the ecosystem Renaultwill manufacture plastic parts using pellet injection technology in steel molds.
In line with its vision and the major importance of sustainability in the sector, the group has ensured that its factory is equipped with photovoltaic panel systems but also with several lines for crushing and recycling plastic waste.

The installation of this group in Morocco “will actively participate in the deployment of the vision outlined for the sector: that of expanding local value chains and densifying our productive fabric”, welcomed the Minister of Industry and Development. Commerce, Ryad Mezzour, present at the inauguration ceremony.
“With the growth of the automotive industry and the potential of African markets, MP Industry Group is at the dawn of a promising future, particularly in Morocco. Thanks to the support of the Moroccan authorities, we are convinced of being able to strengthen our integration into the Moroccan automotive industry and proudly carry our slogan: 'We are Moroccans',” assured its CEO Jean Drugescu, also boss of Metaplast.

The general director of Renault Group Morocco, Mohamed Bachiriestimated that this opening will contribute to “strengthening our local integration and further promoting the competitiveness of the Moroccan industrial platform on an international scale”.
