Everton host Brentford at Goodison Park in the Premier League

The Met Office has shared a weather update ahead of this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, including the Everton versus Brentford clash at Goodison Park.
There are fears that some games could be impacted by Storm Bert, which is expected to hit a large part of the United Kingdom over the weekend.
However, an update provided by the national weather and climate surface via its website on Friday afternoon (22 November) is good news for Everton – and indeed Brentford – supporters.
There is no weather warning in place for Merseyside on Saturday (23 November), although there is a 90 per cent chance of heavy rain falling.
Everton v Brentford unlikely to be at risk of postponement
This is of course hugely positive news. After two weeks without club football, every supporter is raring for the campaign to get up and running again.
There is a long running joke that international breaks are a blessing for Toffees fans as it means they do not have to watch the side lose on a weekly basis.
But all jokes aside, this is now the time the club properly knuckle down and drag themselves away from Premier League relegation danger.
A home match against Brentford, who have been poor on their travels this season, is a great chance to put three points on the board.
With a very tough run coming up around the end of November up to the end of the year, winning is imperative for Sean Dyche.
The weather will not be great, but that can often make for a better atmosphere and a backs-to-the-wall display.
Let’s just hope this latest forecast is correct and there is no danger of the game being called off.
In other Everton news, Alan Myers has shared whether or not a court “issue” will impact the takeover.
