Thursday, November 21, the town hall of Tours announced the placement in police custody of Christopher Sebaoun, one of its advisors. As reported by Europe 1, the man was arrested as part of an investigation into drug trafficking.
The municipal councilor of the town hall of Tours and member of the EELV municipal majority, Christopher Sebaoun, was placed in police custody on Thursday November 21. Information which was confirmed by the public prosecutor Catherine Sorita-Minard, and by the mayor of Tours, Emmanuel Denis. According to information from Europe 1, the delegate for questions relating to the Loire and Cher, the preservation of river heritage and aquifer resources, was arrested as part of an investigation opened for drug trafficking.
As our colleagues revealed, searches have already been carried out, but their results have not yet been communicated. “In the event of indictment, the mayor will suspend Mr. Sebaoun from all his delegations during the police investigation”informed the town hall of Tours in a press release. At the same time, political figures did not fail to react to this announcement. In a message published on X (formerly Twitter), the opposition municipal councilor Les Républicains, Olivier Lebreton, shared his uneasiness. “Once again, what an image for our city”, he wrote.
An LFI deputy arrested in the act of buying drugs
On October 18, another politician was involved in a drug trafficking case. As reported by Valeurs Actuelles, the deputy for Loire-Atlantique, Andy Kerbrat, was arrested in the act of purchasing 3-MMC, a synthetic drug popular in Parisian party circles. The events took place in particular in the Lamarck-Caulaincourt district, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. Andy Kerbrat was thus arrested in possession of 1.35 g of 3MMC, while his seller had one gram of 3MMC and 200 euros in cash.
