However, the Navigo Liberté + Pass offers an economical solution by reducing the cost to €1.99 per journey. With the tariff overhaul planned from January 2, 2025, Île-de-France Mobilités is introducing a simplified system aimed at harmonizing prices. Goodbye to paper tickets and traditional ticket books. Place at single ticket at €2.50 for the metro and the RERwhile bus and tram journeys cost €2. For regular or occasional travelers, the Navigo Liberté Pass + offers an advantageous rate of 1,99 € per trip for the metro, RER and trains, and 1,60 € for buses and trams, while including free matches.
The Navigo Liberté Pass allows you to travel à la carte, sans engagement no minimum duration and track your expenses online or on the app. You only pay for the journeys you use!
How does it work? You pass your pass for each journey, the total is calculated at the end of the month and you are billed at the start of the following month.
Registration for Freedom Pass + is simple and requires an online process on the Île-de-France Mobilités website. Once the profile is created, you will need to provide your banking details, a photo and pay €8 administration fee.
On average, it takes 10 days to receive the Navigo badge, but with the increase in requests, this could reach three weeks. Those who already have a Navigo badge can update it online upon registration and at RATP and SNCF points of sale or machines to activate their Liberté + subscription.
This post-paid pass is ideal for users making fewer than 20 journeys per month. Beyond, the Monthly Navigo Pass remains more advantageous. Another new feature, from spring 2025it will be possible to use the Freedom Pass + directly on smartphone via the RATP, SNCF Connect and Île-de-France Mobilités applications.
Finally, the fare offer is enriched with a single ticket at 13 € to reach the airports and a Pass Visite proposed to 29,90 €covering all areas. These changes mark an important step in simplifying travel in Île-de-France, offering options adapted to each type of traveler.
