This Friday, November 22 in the morning, 8,000 EDF customers were without power in different regions of the island.
“All customers cut off yesterday were replenished, but the bad weather last night caused new cuts, mainly affecting Grand Bastia, Ghisonaccia, the Eastern Plain and the Far South”indicates Electricité de France in a press release.
The company adds that “its teams are fully mobilized on the ground and hard at work to restore power to impacted customers as quickly as possible”.
At the national level, the Caetano storm also caused power outages. This Friday morning at 7 a.m., 200,000 homes were still without electricity.
