Jordan Bardella was received in TPMP this Thursday to discuss his book, What I'm looking forpublished this November 9 by Fayard editions. During the interview, the 29-year-old young man shared some anecdotes, such as his meeting with Marine Le Pen, “in a pizzeria”, even though he was only a young activist at the time.
The history of this collaboration grew Cyril Hanouna to ask Jordan Bardella a question that many French people are asking, namely which of the two will run to represent the National Rally during the presidential elections of 2027.
Marine Le Pen judged: Jordan Bardella defends her at all costs
“How is she, Marine Le Pen ?”, first asks the host of TPMP, more or less innocently. “Marine is doing well, she always impresses me with her strength, the week is obviously not easy for her”, answers Jordan Bardella.
As a reminder, the former president of the RN is judged as part of the trial of the National Front parliamentary assistants, and the latter risks 5 years in prison including three years suspended, a fine of 300,000 euros and 5 years of ineligibility with provisional execution.
After denouncing “a bias” et “partial requisitions” in this affair, Jordan Bardella began to sing the praises of his predecessor, before being taken aback by a direct question from Cyril Hanouna. “Do you think she's the one I'm going to receive for the next presidential campaign or is it you?”, asks the host.
“I hope that…”: Jordan Bardella hits the mark in TPMP
“I hope it’s her”, replies the president of the RN, visibly embarrassed. But Cyril Hanouna wanted to explore the question further. “What do you say to people who say, 'Jordan must be really happy? if Marine is ineligible because he is the one who will be a candidate in 2027? And Jordan Bardella responds: “It’s not a story of happy or not happy (…) the responsibility is so heavy that it crushes you.”
On November 18, on the set of BFMTV, Jordan Bardella got slightly confused about the case of Marine Le Pen, he who declared: “not to have a conviction his criminal record is for me a number one rule when you want to be a parliamentarian of the Republic”. Maxime Switek, present on the set, then retorted: “If Marine Le Pen is convicted? Even if there is no ineligibility or provisional execution, there is no possible candidacy for Marine Le Pen?”
Painfully, the president of the RN then gave a response
little confused. “If at the beginning of the year the judges decide to convict, there will be an appeal. The call makes you whiter than white“, replied the latter, before ensuring that Marine Le Pen was “innocent” and that therefore, the call
“will not confirm” the punishment.
