Elon Musk corrected by Jeff Bezos after starting false rumors about him

The boss of Amazon had to correct the boss of X, on his own social network. Elon Musk had spread false information against Jeff Bezos.

Did Jeff Bezos urge shareholders of Tesla and SpaceX, two companies owned by Elon Musk, to dump their shares in anticipation of Donald Trump's defeat? In any case, this is what the billionaire owner of X suggested on his social network on November 21.

Elon Musk admits he was wrong

“100% false” replied Jeff Bezos, boss of Amazon, just a few minutes later. Elon Musk then admitted “to being wrong”, followed by an emoji showing a person crying with laughter.

According to Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos explained that Donald Trump “was going to lose for sure”. He got this information from a discussion he “learned” at Mar-a-Lago, where Donald Trump's golf course and residence is located.

Supporting the next American president, who will take office in January 2025, Elon Musk will have an advisory role within the new administration. He will be responsible for reducing federal spending, in particular by cutting the number of civil servants and the budgets of organizations that are too progressive.

Between the two billionaires, the flow does not flow. If Jeff Bezos used all his weight to prevent his newspaper, the Washington Post, from positioning itself for one or other of the candidates in the American presidential election, he is nevertheless a competitor to Elon Musk on the space terrain with Blue Origin, which faces SpaceX.

The enmity between the two men therefore does not date from this lunar exchange, and could become more accentuated now that Elon Musk is one of Donald Trump's right-hand men, to the point of annoying even within the Republican party and relatives of the politician.
