On the night of October 3 to 4, Michel Blanc left us at the age of 72. One of the founding members of the Splendid troupe began his career in the 1970s with actors like Christian Clavier, Gérard Jugnot, with whom he went to high schoolor even Thierry Lhermitte, with whom he notably created comedy shows. It was especially with his role as Jean-Claude Dusse that he became known in Les Bronzés. Following his death, there were numerous tributes, including those from the members of Splendid. “Fuck Michel… What did you do to us…”Gérard Jugnot wrote in an Instagram story when he learned the terrible news. This Thursday November 21 is released The Splendid on the Splendid, a book in which the happy band tells their story, fifty years after their birth. Jean-Pierre Lavoignat, the coordinator of the work, among other things, returned to this project with our colleagues atHere Paris.
He spoke about his last exchange with Michel Blanc: “Our telephone conversation, two days before his death. (…) I can still hear him say to me: 'That's really Thierry's idea!' As always, Michel took a while to get there. And finally, he provided us with magnificent photos“. Regarding the actor's absence, he said: “Everyone is sad. The band's history will never be the same again. What's truly incredible is that we finished this book the day before Michel died. And we left it as is. It is dedicated to him.”
Michel Blanc delivered himself in this work as rarely and notably returned to one of the relationships which marked him and of which he does not entirely have good memories: that with Coluche, which the magazine highlights Gala. “Unlike the others, I have always had fairly distant relationships. I had boundless admiration for him from an artistic point of view, but humanly, I had more difficulty”he admitted. And to detail: “He liked having a yard around him, including a lot of parasites, and that irritated me. And above all, there was an obvious element of 'non-kindness' in him.”. “There always had to be a Turk’s face, and I hated that”finished the late actor.
Michel Blanc is not very tender about Coluche
During an interview given to 50′ Inside in December 2019, Michel Blanc had already mentioned his relationship with Coluche against Nikos Aliagas. He particularly remembered the atmosphere at the Café de la gare. “There were extremely talented people who admired Michel. And Michel reigned over that. He wasn't always tender, from time to time, he chose a Turkish head and he would take it down during dinner”, remembered the actor Tanned. And to conclude with frankness: “It's not my favorite side of Michel but he had a generosity… When it was Christmas, we were invited and we all had a present. Everyone had a personalized gift.
