Pastef confirmed its roots by winning 47 of the 54 departments from Senegal. In the strategic region of Dakar, the party secured an undisputed victory, winning all the seats of Dakar (7), Pikine (5) and Guédiawaye (2).
A renewed Assembly
The National Votes Census Commission, headed by Abdoulaye Ba, also announced the arrival of new key figures in Parliament, including:
