Jardim succeeds in his first test with Al Ain

Fujairah: Nizar Jaafar:
Al Ain regained the tone of victories that it had missed in the last two matches with a landslide victory over its host Al Orouba 4-2 during the match that brought together the two teams at Dibba Stadium within the eighth week of the ADNOC Professional League in the first match under the leadership of its new coach, Leonardo Jardim.
With this victory, which is the first over Al-Orouba in the professional era, “Al-Zaeem” raises its score to 11 points, jumping to sixth place and having two postponed matches, while Al-Orouba suffers the seventh loss and freezes its score at three points in the penultimate place.
Al Ain finished the first half with a 3-0 lead as a translation of its complete advantage over the course of the first 45 minutes, during which Al-Zaeem could have doubled the lead before going to the dressing room, despite the defensive formation adopted by the Green Team from the beginning.
Player Sufyan Rahimi opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a header from a cross ball sent by Bandar Al Ahbabi, before Kodjo Laba added the second goal in the 27th minute, taking advantage of a grave error by Al Orouba goalkeeper Abdullah Youssef. Then Mohamed Awadallah scored the third goal for Al Ain in the 43rd minute. A surprise shot. On the other hand, the Fujairah Greens had little threat to goalkeeper Khaled Issa, except for the ball that was prepared for the Traoré player in front of the goal and he shot it. Recklessly outside the three woods.
“Al-Zaeem” continued its journey of control and brilliance in the second session, which witnessed the addition of the fourth goal in the 61st minute, headed by the powerful returnee Kodjo Laba, who scored his second in the match, before Al-Orouba succeeded in reducing the difference with two goals, the first scored by substitute Mohamed Reda in the 72nd minute, then Gabriel Kak added. The second goal came in the 78th minute, and referee Suhail Abdullah’s whistle announced the end of the match, with Al Ain winning 4-2.
