The disruptions linked to storm Caetano continue this Friday, November 22, 2024. After the heavy snow episode which hit the country this Thursday, from Brittany to Burgundy-Franche-Comté, bringing up to 10 cm of snow in places, many departments remain placed on orange vigilance by Météo France.

These are territories stretching from Normandy to Alsace.

A few centimeters of snow this Friday in Normandy

In the northern half, from Brittany to Normandy and as far as Grand Est, snow showers are still present during the day, but in less quantity than the day before.

“We expect at most 3 to 10 cm of snow at the end of the night and morning in Normandy,” according to Météo France. Elsewhere, sunny periods alternate with cloudy periods.

In terms of temperatures, the minimums are winter and are between -3°C and 1°C in the northwest, as far as Poitou-Charentes as well as in Rhône-Alpes.

Frosts will be widespread between -5°C and 0°C from the northeast to the Massif Central. From the south of the Garonne to the Mediterranean rim, the minimums range from 2 to 7 degrees. In the afternoon, the Atlantic coast and the Mediterranean rim are the mildest regions with 8 to 13 degrees. Elsewhere, it is 2 to 7 degrees, but not more than 1 to 4 degrees from the Grand-Est to Bourgogne Franche-Comté.

The weather will change radically from Saturday, with the arrival of much milder air.
