A well-known Franco-French clash since it was the poster for the final of the French championships that the Lebruns had won in style in March.

To qualify for the final four, Félix and Alexis Lebrun defeated the Japanese pair of Tomokazu Harimoto and Sora Matsushima in the quarter-finals (6-11, 11-8, 15-13, 14-12). For their part, Esteban Dorr and Florian Bourrassaud had to grit their teeth to bring down the Hong Kongers Lam Siu Hang and Ho Kwan Kit (9-11, 8-11, 11-8, 12-10, 11-6). They came back from two sets to get their ticket to the semi-finals.
