It appears Texans have made the nice list this holiday season, as they have multiple opportunities to celebrate with the renowned “Queen of Christmas,” Mariah Carey, this month. From holiday-themed pop-up bars to live concerts, the music icon is coming to town.
For a limited time, Virgin Hotels Dallas will be transformed into a glamorous winter wonderland, welcoming visitors to Mariah Carey’s Black Irish Holiday Bar, inspired by her liquor brand, Black Irish. The event will run every afternoon until Dec. 29.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Carey’s beloved holiday anthem, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” To celebrate, the hotel’s Commons Club has been converted into an immersive holiday experience featuring cocktails and mocktails that blend holiday cheer with hints of Carey’s heritage.
The bar will serve drinks based on the rich and decadent notes of Black Irish whiskey, which was launched by Carey in 2021. Beverages will be adorned with candy cane rims, whipped cream, cinnamon, and chocolate pretzels.
Don’t fret if you prefer savory over sweet; winter bites, including charcuterie boards, crab cakes, and flatbreads, also will be available. The holiday atmosphere will be enhanced by twinkling lights, seasonal decor, and 30 years’ worth of Carey’s hits playing in the background.
Fans also can make trips to the photo booth, snap selfies with holiday-themed backdrops, or draft their holiday wish list before sending it off via mail to the Christmas Queen herself.
