The northeastern half of the country gets Wednesday to cope with winter showers. In the northern Ardennes there can be 5 centimeters or more above approximately 400 to 500 meters. Snow may also temporarily remain in the lower regions during the heaviest showers. Elsewhere it will remain largely dry with more clear spells. The maximum temperatures vary from 0 degrees in the High Fens to +6 degrees at the sea. The wind inland is moderate from westerly directions, near the sea it is quite strong to strong from west-northwest. The gusts can reach between 50 and 70 km/h. The RMI said this on Wednesday morning.
Wednesday evening and night there will be more winter showers in the north and northeast of the country and possibly into the center of the country. Later it will be dry everywhere with broad clear spells. It cools down sharply with lows of -2 to -6 degrees in the Ardennes, from 0 to -2 degrees in most places in Flanders and around 4 degrees at the sea. Especially in the north and northeast of the country, you have to watch out for snow or ice patches.
Thursday Our country may be between depressions and it will remain dry in most places with clear spells. There may still be a (winter) shower locally. The maximum temperatures range from 0 to -1 degrees in the High Ardennes to about 5 degrees near the sea. In the morning you have to look out for local ice spots.
Friday It will be partly cloudy with a chance of some local (winter) showers again. The maximums fluctuate between 0 and 6 degrees. The wind blows moderately and quite strongly at sea from southwest to west.
Saturday The day starts dry with a chance of freezing fog in the south of the country. During the day, high and medium clouds will increase and it may rain in the west and northwest of the country in the afternoon. The maximums fluctuate between 3 and 7 degrees.
Sunday it suddenly becomes noticeably milder with cloudy periods and clear spells. The maximum temperatures will then be between 14 and 17 degrees with a strong southwest wind.
