Partner of deceased Glenn from Get Ready! found him lifeless: “Sleep will be good, is the last thing he said to me”

It was Glenn De Gendt’s partner who found the deceased singer of boy band Get Ready on Monday evening. Attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. “I immediately felt that something was wrong,” he says The Latest News.

The death of Glenn De Gendt from boy band Get Ready! touched many people on Tuesday. Everything indicates that the singer himself took his own life, the public prosecutor’s office announced. In The Latest News tells his partner Marc Vansteenbeeck (56), with whom Glenn had just been on holiday to Spain and whom he had proposed to the day before, that he was the one who found him in bed on Monday evening.

When he heard no snoring or breathing at 10:56 p.m., he said he immediately sensed something was wrong. “I turned on the light and saw Glenn completely still, his hand was white. I pulled him out of bed, put him on the floor and tried to wake him up. But that didn’t work. It made me despondent and I called the ambulance.”

An attempt at resuscitation was unsuccessful, even by emergency services with a defibrillator. “It felt like the sky was falling on my head.”

What happened is still a question mark for Vansteenbeeck. “When we came home from Spain, Glenn wasn’t feeling well. I’ll crawl into bed for a momenthe said. I didn’t have to bring him food. Sleeping will do me good. That’s the last thing he said to me. Still, I don’t want to believe that he ended his life in such a way. And that he didn’t say goodbye to me.”
