Néstor Lorenzo, technical director of the Colombian Soccer Team, spoke at a press conference about several topics related to today's match, Tuesday, November 19, against La Tri, in Barranquilla and gave his point of view regarding the change in the Ecuadorian bench, the removal of an owner and how the processes are worked here.
“I think that the Federation coherently looked for similar technicians, Ecuador has the characteristic that it has worked in minor categories very well and they have reached the youth world championships. And although the two coaches have their differences, and the system they have is the best they have used”mentioned the coach of the replacement of Félix Sánchez Bas by Sebastián Beccacece in the 'everyone's team'.
Likewise, he referred to the loss of an undisputed headline in 'La Tri': “They are missing the side that Preciado was injured. So Ordoñez can replace him although he is more central than lateral… We have put ourselves in every game, and although we make adaptations with respect to the rival, I am not going to say how we are going to form and we have ours to go out and win the game”.
Finally, he praised how youth players are managed in Ecuador: “We must congratulate Ecuadorian football that has worked on the training of its youth teams and that has already managed to have a team with a U15, 17 and 20 selection process. I would like to work on it here in Colombia. Since we arrived we have been doing many training courses, especially for youth coaches, we are working so that Colombia also has that process.”
