“The hardest 24 hours of my life”: Ugo and Sophia eliminated from “Koh-Lanta”

In “Koh-Lanta”, the big waters. This Tuesday evening, the precious liquid flowed in abundance, coming both from the heavens and from the eyes of the seven adventurers still in the running. First the Philippine sky, which, after having accustomed the Robinsons to the azure blue, suddenly took on black. For 48 hours, torrential rains fell on the camp of the castaways, putting their bodies and minds to a severe test.

“What hell!” The night was horrible, the worst of my adventure,” sums up Jacques bluntly after the first nocturnal escapade. The second ends up mentally draining the candidates. “Welcome to hell!” » Sophia tries to amuse herself when she goes to bed, still soaked. “I feel like I'm in Belgium,” Charlotte, originally from the flat country, also laughs, before admitting the next morning that she has just gone through “the hardest 24 hours of my life.”

A little earlier in the episode, the water had already gushed, but from the peepers of our survivors. On the occasion of the comfort test, the production of “Koh-Lanta” decided to release the emotional nuclear weapon: the arrival of relatives on site – the winner sharing his reward with his own. Emerging from a bush, companion, mother, brother, sister or friend paraded on the beach before the start of the famous obstacle course running weighted down with bags.

Enough to make participants exhausted by thirty days of deprivation break down in an instant. Piano and violin in the background, get out the tissues! At the sight of her mother walking onto the beach, Charlotte instantly jumped into her arms. Ugo is broken in two by the vision of his partner, when Thibault bursts into tears when he sees his big brother appear before him. “There is no choice. He didn't come for nothing. I will give everything,” warns the Corsican farmer. Promise kept since he wins the game against Charlotte and Ilyesse.

“I couldn’t have dreamed of better”

The adventurers are not yet at the end of their emotions. During the last immunity test before the orienteering race of the next episode, they learn that the last arrival will be automatically eliminated, before a final Council meeting is held to push another castaway towards the exit. Guaranteed pressure.

To save their skin, competitors must reconstruct a model blindfolded. In this little game, Ilyesse wins by a hair over Thibault. “I couldn’t have dreamed of better,” reacts the young engineer, assured thanks to this victory of participating in the semi-final of “Koh-Lanta”. “I’m coming back from the cursed tribe. I've been through so many struggles. It’s incredible,” he rightly emphasizes about his great journey.

It's less rosy for Sophia. Last in the match, the sports coach is brutally ousted from the show, to the great sadness of Charlotte who loses her “big sister”. “It’s perhaps a reflection of the performances I did on Koh Lanta. I was never the first,” she analyzes directly, bluntly.

“I’m letting go of my captain, I’m going to save my skin”

Back at the camp, Ugo and Cécile, the last two ex-reds in the game, know that they will perhaps experience the same fate very soon. Save-who-can! “I have to be in touch with the ex-yellows. I let go of my captain. I’m going to save my skin,” Pilate’s teacher assumes straight away. Having played his last immunity ring last week, Ugo knows that he has just had “one last ride”. In the sights of his comrades, the former mentor of the Pitogos has no other choice but to try to find a new talisman of protection. Direction a difficult to access hill that his comrades have not yet raked. In vain.

At the end of a false suspense, Ugo is pushed towards the exit. A departure “without regret or resentment” for the valiant veteran, who is pleased to have “learned a lot” during this edition. For the first time in its history, the man with three “Koh-Lanta” will not be a finalist in Denis Brogniart's program.
