End of the sixth day of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the Asia zone this Tuesday evening. In Group C, Bahrain (6th) faced Australia (2nd) in a tight group where five teams were one point behind the untouchable Japanese leader. Australia started their match well with an early goal from Portsmouth striker Kusini Yengi (1st). Trailing for a long time, the Bahrain players completely turned the tide in the second half.

Mahdi Abduljabbar Mahdi Darwish Hasan scored twice in two minutes (75th and 77th) to put Bahrain back in front. An advantage which was however not decisive since Kusini Yengi also scored a double by scoring at the very end of the match (90th +2). With this 2-2 draw, Australia, which is 9 points behind Japan, remains second and has one point more than Indonesia (3rd), Saudi Arabia (4th), Bahrain (5th) and China (6th) which have the same number of points. Finally in Group B, Jordan could not do better than a 1-1 draw against Kuwait. If Yazan Al Naimat quickly scored (21st), Mohammad Daham answered him (68th). Jordan is third, 5 points behind South Korea and now 2 lengths behind Iraq.
