The Palestine national team will face South Korea in a match at Amman International Stadium, today, Tuesday, in the third round of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup..

The match will start at four o’clock in the evening Cairo time and five o’clock Saudi time in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The position of Palestine and South Korea before today’s confrontation

Palestine have failed to impress in their bid to qualify for the World Cup and look unlikely to turn things around.

The Canaan Lions remain at the bottom of the second group with two points out of 15 points obtained in five previous rounds.

They were beaten 1-0 by Oman last time out, and looked to be on their way to a much-needed point before their opponents took advantage of some laxity in defense to score a late winner.

Meanwhile, South Korea had a strong showing in its qualifying campaign and is closing in on an 11th consecutive appearance at the world tournament.

They beat Al Kuwait in their last match 3-1 last Thursday, with three different players scoring goals.

Among the scorers was team captain and star striker Heung-Min Son, who scored his 50th goal to rise to second place in the all-time top scorers rankings.

The Taeguk Warriors lead the group standings with 13 points out of 15, and will look to increase their tally this week.

History of previous confrontations between the two teams

Tuesday’s match will mark the third meeting between the two countries.

The South Korean national team did not lose in the previous two matches, achieving a win and a draw.

While the Palestine national team did not succeed in keeping a clean sheet in the last four matches, and only succeeded in achieving one goal in the last six matches.

The Taeguk Warriors are the top scoring team in Group B so far with 11 goals.

South Korea is ranked 22nd in the latest FIFA rankings and is 78 places above its rivals in today’s match.

Suspension of the Palestine and South Korea match

Palestine lost three of its last four matches and did not achieve any victory in its last seven matches.

They have struggled defensively and offensively in recent matches and will go into the encounter as huge underdogs.

South Korea is on a four-match winning streak and is unbeaten in its last nine matches in all competitions.

The huge gap in level and quality between the two countries, coupled with their contrasting form, would see the Taeguk Warriors win this match.

The Palestine-South Korea match will be broadcast on the beIN Sports network and Al-Kass channels as well.

The first designated the commentator Bassem Al-Zeer to broadcast its events, while Mustafa Nazim will comment on Al-Kass Channel.
