It was one of the great uncertainties at the end of the qualifiers for CAN 2025, and Guinea missed the boat. Present in the last three editions, quarter-finalist in 2023, she will not be able to participate following the defeat conceded this Tuesday in Tanzania (0-1). The only achievement of the day was scored by Msuva (61′) on the hour mark, while Serhou Guirassy & Co remained silent, even unable to score the slightest shot in 90 minutes.
This defeat is synonymous with third position in its group for Guinea (9 pts), which definitively lets Tanzania (10 pts) and the Democratic Republic of Congo (13 pts) slip away. For his part, Mohamed Bayo (26 years old) had to watch this elimination from afar, having missed out since the start of this gathering and the international break in 2024.
