A funeral register has been opened for Glenn De Gendt (50) in the administrative center in Kapelle-op-den-Bos. The member of the Flemish boy band Get Ready! died on the night of Monday to Tuesday in his home in Grasheide near Putte, but grew up in Kapelle-op-den-Bos.
General manager Siebe Ruykens of Kapelle-op-den-Bos confirms the news. “Glenn grew up here and has a lot of ties here, which is why we are doing this,” says Ruykens. “People can express their condolences to family and friends here during the opening hours of the administrative center.”

Honorary mayor Leo Peeters, who saw Glenn grow up, shares his deepest condolences. “Glenn’s death is a heavy loss for our community,” says Peeters.(jw)
