Scattered rain will impact north Georgia for the entire day, so have the umbrella handy as you leave for work this morning. The higher coverage of rain will occur this morning and afternoon. The coverage of rain will drop this evening after you drive home from work, but scattered showers will remain possible tonight.

Due to the clouds and rain, highs will be about 10 degrees cooler this afternoon in the 60s.

The rain today is developing ahead of a cold front that will swing through north Georgia on Wednesday. Temperatures will be in the 70s Wednesday afternoon, but quickly drop into the 50s by Wednesday evening for dinner, accompanied by gusty winds.

It will be cold and windy all day Thursday with lows in the 40s Thursday morning and highs only in the 50s. It will remain windy on Friday with lows dropping into the 30s by Friday morning through the weekend.
