On September 4, 2023, on the set of the 2 show, the 24-year-old young woman explained why she renounced her parental rights and entrusted her daughter to a foster family.

His story had left its mark. In 2023, in Bad mother (Ed. Fayard), Ali Leonardi had decided to explain his choice to renounce his parental rights. The young woman had, in fact, entrusted her daughter to social services at the age of one and had signed the renunciation papers when Nina was four years old. On this occasion, she toured the sets including “Sept à Eight” on TF1 and “It begins today” on France 2.

This Monday, November 18, the production of the show presented by Faustine Bollaert announced the death of its guest. “It is with deep sadness that we learned of Ali’s death. Ali came in September 2023 to tell us why she had decided to give up her parental rights. She carried a strong and rare message, that of maternal regret. We are thinking of his loved ones”we can read on X.

Dissociative identity disorder

In the France 2 program, Ali Leonardi admitted that it was a difficult decision to make but assured that she had no regrets. “It might not seem like it, but I am sure of my decision. I know what I did was the best thing to do.”she said. However, the young woman did not hide her suffering from the absence of her daughter. “I miss her but I know it was the best decision I could have made in my life. But I can't say I don't miss her. I learned to live with her. So, I still miss her a little bit.”she confided in tears.

Suffering from endometriosis, under artificial menopause and the continuous pill, Ali Leonardi discovered in October 2018 that she was pregnant. Convinced by her mother, the 19-year-old young woman decides to keep the child. But from the moment of giving birth, she does not feel a maternal bond with her baby. “I never wanted to be a mother. I was afraid of being like my mother, in fact I have always been afraid of everything, whether romantic or friendly relationships”she describes in her book.

Last July, in a message posted on Instagram, Ali Leonardi explained that he suffered from dissociative identity disorder, borderline personality disorder, ADHD and generalized anxiety. “For what ? Why is it up to us to do everything we can to survive? I don't have the answer, but I know that whatever happens we must not give up, we continue and we move forward.”wrote the young woman who was a victim of abuse during her childhood.
