Warning for strong wind and rain in Centre-Val de , gusts up to 100 km/h this Tuesday

Météo Center has refined its weather report by developing an alert for windy risks ce Tuesday November 19, 2024.

The night from Monday to Tuesday was particularly humid in the Centre-Val de with intermittent light rain (locally moderate). The southwest wind has strengthened (gusts of 30 to 50 km/h, locally > 50 km/h in the South and 40 to 60 km/h, locally > 60 km/h in the North Center).

A gust of wind will assert itself during the day this Tuesday

Since this Tuesday morning, gray and humid conditions have prevailed with rain or less regular. At daybreak, temperatures will range from +9°C to +12°C, from the South-East to the North-West of the Center. The southwest wind will continue to strengthen (gusts of 50 to 70 km/h).

In the afternoon, light to moderate/heavy rains will sweep across our central regions, from the North-West to the South-East. We will expect several millimeters of water to locally 20-30 mm of water. A gust of wind will assert itself (gusts from southwest to west sectors of 60 to 80 km/h, locally > 80 km/h). Maximum temperatures will be between +10°C and +13°C.

An active and windy cold front

Between late afternoon and evening, an active and windy cold front will slide from the North-West (around 4-7 p.m.) towards the South-East of the Center (19h-22h). This rain band will give heavy rain and good gusts of wind (60 to 90 km/h, locally 100 km/h). Some localized falls of branches and trees will remain possible.

It will gradually evacuate through the South of the Center at the end of the evening. Temperatures will drop significantly below and behind the cold front. A variable sky will return with a moderate northwest wind (gusts of 20 to 50 km/h, locally > 50 km/h).
