The immense Polygone Riviera shopping center in Cagnes-sur-Mer, in the metropolis of Nice, opened in 2015, will begin a revolution for its tenth anniversary. The temple of commerce notably announces a change of namebut also an important development plan.

The Fey group which operates the site unveiled the new identity and its ambitions this Tuesday, November 19, 2024 during a press conference.

A new name: “Shopping Promenade Riviera”

The shopping location will be called « Shopping Promenade Riviera » from today. Behind this name change, customers will also see new shops, restaurants and leisure activities opening within the 75,000m2 complex competing with Cap 3000.

New stores, expansions and restaurants

General manager Arthur Bailly announced the expansion of several stores such as Bershka, JD Sport, Pull & Bear and the arrival of Speed Park which will offer bowling, laser tag and karting in place of the Printemps department store.

The development and renewal plan also provides for the opening of 30 stores by 2026 and 10 restaurants. The JD Sports brand will triple its sales area to reach 1,200 m2 at Botanic Square. The Action brand will ultimately not open in the center despite persistent rumors. This is Speed Park and not the low-cost Danish distributor.

Speed Park and Fort Boyard Adventures for the leisure offer

The arrival of Speed Park is planned for the end of 2025 and Fort Boyard Adventures in 2026. The project also plans to create a new catering area in the upper part of the center and a large free play area.

This name change is justified by a new direction taken by the former Polygone Riviera: “to offer something other than shopping” and to become the “leader in entertainment and leisure in the Alpes-Maritimes department”, according to the general director. .
