Allowance: find out the payment date and amount of the Christmas bonus in 2024

Every year, as the holidays approach, millions of the most precarious French families wait to know if they will once again benefit from the Christmas bonus, this boost paid to certain beneficiaries of social minimums.

At the end of 2024, the fragility of the coalition in power and the endless debates around the finance bill for 2025 left a certain uncertainty hovering over the question. But the Minister of Solidarity, Autonomy and Equality between Women and Men decided to respond.

With our colleagues from West Paul Christophe thus confirmed, this Monday evening, that the Christmas bonus will be paid again this year.

The minister, an active member of the Horizons party founded by Édouard Philippe, wanted to reassure the French in the columns of the major regional daily in the West.

He announced that transfers of the Christmas bonus will be made from next Friday, December 13. A key date for many low-income households who are counting on this help to prepare for the end-of-year celebrations in better conditions.

You will automatically receive this allowance in your bank account if you receive one of the following benefits:

Another question that comes up every year: will the amount of exceptional end-of-year aid be increased?

Since 2009, the amount of the Christmas bonus has remained fixed at €152.45 for a single person. But that's not all! Beneficiaries of active solidarity income (RSA) can receive a much higher bonus, the amount varying depending on the composition of their household. Thus, the larger the family, the more the premium increases, offering a real boost for the end-of-year celebrations.

No changes expected in 2024! The Christmas bonus will be paid this year, “with the same amounts as last year”specifies Paul Christophe to West France.
